
International Animation Film Festival, Nov 24 - Dec 2, 2010
On Saturday evening, three special prizes and a main prize were distributed at the prize-giving ceremony of the 7th Anilogue Animation Film Festival by the decision of the international jury, Tomek Baginski, Alexei Alexeev and Mr. Hitoshi Suzuki. The audience award went to a fifth film.
“A former pilot looks back over his life: The Earth, the Sky, the Woman - everything that took place on the journey from an air strip to an abandoned boat house.” Wings and Oars, a little shorter than six minute long animation of the Latvian filmmaker Vladimir Leschiov won the 7th Anilogue Festival.
Additional 3 special prizes were given by the jury at the competition of European short animations. The winners are Mama by Hungarian Géza M. Tóth about a world-wide hanging-out, The Tale of Little Puppet Boy by the Swedish director Johannes Nyholm, and The Additional Capabilities by Ivan Maximov from Russia.

A film about the mistakes of a scatterbrained white stork turned out to be the audience’s favourite. The Czech animation, Whoops, Mistake! is made by Aneta Kýrová, a student of FAMU in Prague. Though the awards have been distributed, the festival continues in Vienna until 3rd December, those who missed something interesting are not yet late to make up for it.
